It has the look, feel and functionality similar to that of MS Windows File Manager. The source code for Graphic Vision File Manager is included in the Graphic Vision evaluation distribution above, though this executable is built from a later alpha version of Graphic Vision that supports wheeled mice (see CuteMouse below). New to version 2.00 is DOS codepage support, a larger font for 1200x1024 and 1600x1200 video modes (or those with a visual disability) and resizable file information pane fields. GVFM.EXE also includes a built-in "E"-like text editor, simple four-function calculator and calendar. GVFM can use any high resolution 8, 15, 16 or 32bpp SVGA video mode up to 1600x1200, or any 16-colour (4bpp) mode up to 800x600. GVFM also supports long file names when run in a Win9x/ME DOS box or other DOS LFN-capable environment. CodePage CP850 (MS-DOS Western Europe) Memory usage is adjustable. Includes text and bitmap (bmp, jpg) file viewing functions, text editor, calendar, calculator, color palettes for Win3.x and OS/2. Requires DOS 3.3+, VGA (Better: VESA SVGA), 80386 (Better: 80486), 2MB RAM, about 1MB disk space, mouse, MS mouse driver 7.05+ (Better: The free CuteMouse with wheel support under plain DOS). http://cutemouse.sourceforge.net Limitations: No online help. Some 32-bit programs that use the DOS4/GW extender will not launch from GVFM under plain DOS, because of conflicts with GVFM's DPMI server (RTM.EXE) — but those programs should work under the Windows 3.1x/9x DPMI.
