Doch nun ist Zeta endgültig auf Grund gelaufen. Der Distributor Magnussoft hat die Finanzierung der weiteren Entwicklung von Zeta eingestellt. Magnussoft hat den Vertrieb von Zeta nach dem Konkurs des ursprünglichen Herstellers yellowTAB im letzten Jahr übernommen. Bernd Korz, der Vater von Zeta, hat in seinem Blog betätigt, dass Zeta nicht weiter entwickelt wird. Er will aber prüfen, ob Teile des Quellcodes als Open-Source veröffentlich werden oder in Haiku einfließen können.
