MP3-BookHelper ermöglicht das Editieren der Tags von MP3 (ID3v1 und ID3v2) und OGG/Speex/Flac Vorbis-Dateien.
Eine Rename-Funktion für das Ändern von Dateinamen ist ebenfalls integriert.
Um multiple Tags auf einmal zu ändern, können Variablen gesetzt werden.
Auch Suchen & Ersetzen, Groß- und Kleinschreibung (Capitalization), Teil eines Dateinamens oder die
Ordnerstruktur können zum Setzen der Tags verwendet werden.
Für alle vorgenommen Änderungen gibt es eine Undo und Vorschaufunktion.
Eine freedb-Anbindung ist ebenfalls vorhanden (auch für LOKAL). Die Tags können während der Wiedergabe in Winamp
oder im integrierten Player geändert werden, für die Zeit der Editierung pausiert die Wiedergabe automatisch.
Auch Winamp-Playlisten (m3u) können erstellt werden. Des Weiteren wird die Erstellung von NFO-Dateien,
Simple File Verifiy (sfv) und Sound Verification (sv) Prüfsummen-Dateien unterstützt.
