This is a virtual floppy drive for Windows NT / 2000 / XP
(works also on 2003, it seems).
You can mount a floppy image file as a virtual floppy drive and directly
access the contents -- view, edit, rename, delete or create files on a
virtual floppy, format a virtual floppy, launch a program on a virtual
floppy... almost anything you can do with a real floppy.

path in 32-bit versions of Windows uses these symbolic links to map
the virtual devices and drive letters.

is freeware that lets you assign a single letter to a buried folder.
It will also let you run most CDs from your hard drive.
What does Virtual Drive Creator™ do?
The DOS SUBST command is a very powerful tool, even in Windows.
It allows you to use a single (available) drive letter to specify a path
which could be any number of folders deep, e.g.
"c:\folder1\folder2\folder 3....\foldern"
(it's been tested to 10 levels).
Virtual Drive Creator™ (VDC) does exactly the same thing.
