Necromancer's DOS Navigator -> Textbasierter Dateimanager
Necromancer's DOS Navigator (NDN) 2.31.1279 Beta (Entwickler: Stefan Weber / Daniil V. Voronov - GERMANY / RUSSIA) DD: Jun 2008 - 940 KB - Englisch/Russisch - Standalone (.rar) - Freeware OS: DOS & Win32 & Linux HP: http://ndn.muxe.com DL: http://ndn.muxe.com/download BETA: http://ndn.muxe.com/beta SS: http://ndn.muxe.com/templates/images/shots/linux_sshot2.png FORUM: http://forums.muxe.com/index.php?showtopic=3189 NDN is developed out of the famous DOS NAVIGATOR 1.51 source code by RIT-Labs. Necromancer and a lot of other people packed this Norton Commander-clone with features, which are listed so you can get a little feeling of what NDN is capable of. At the moment there are 3 target platforms of NDN developed: DPMI32, WIN32 (w9x,WNT+), LINUX. Btw, NDN complies to a lot of the standards introduced on http://www.softpanorama.org Features: Long File Names Support Multi-windowed interface Disk utilities Comprehensive File Manager 26 types of archives supported Powerful customizable editor with 3 code pages support Hex-editor with code pages support Huge strings support Regular expressions Spreadsheet communications Fully 32 bit version Multiconfiguration Very often updates and more... http://ndn.muxe.com/info Provided versions: D32: This is the version to use in DOS/W98, it has the most features of all of the 3 currently developed targets. It is stable and fast, but unfortunately it cannot be used easily in WinNT/2k/XP anymore as in W9x because NT doesn't support the old WINDOWSAPIs , but it will still be worked on. W32: Recommended for NT/2K/XP. It works faster and more stable in NT based OS's. Clipboard/Mouse works (D32 doesn't in NT+). Not as much features as D32, but lots of new things are planned! LNX: The LINUX version is in very early stage, but it looks very promising (an OS like LINUX cannot be easily supported like DOS and WINDOWS). MC is good and stable, BUT it has less possibilites than NDN (f.ex.): VIEWER/EDITOR, options/customizations, FILE FIND.... A lot of work will flow into this port in the near future... ________________________________________________________________________________________________
