Stick -> Windows Desktop mit Tabs aufrüsten
Stick 2.6.2.2 (Anbieter: iWonder Designs - USA) DD: Jul 2007 - 5,5 MB - Englisch - Installer (.zip) - Freeware OS: Windows XP Vista HP: http://iwonderdesigns.com/stick DL: http://www.iwonderdesigns.com/download.php?file=stick SS: http://downloads.magnus.de/system-tools/download/stick-2-6-2-2.html FORUM: http://www.iwonderdesigns.com//forum Stick is a free, Windows application for Windows 2000, XP and Vista. Vista was inspired by Mac OS9's tab-based finder windows. It extends that feature to include several utilities that can be attached to the edges of your screen in the form of tabs. Stick is a desktop enhancement utility that can help you access commonly used utilities and applications. Stick does this by encapsulating these utilities into screen tabs. Screen tabs are customizable tab windows that stick to the edge of your screen. You can collapse and expand these tabs to hide and reveal their contents. The tabs themselves are extremely customizable allowing you to set things like the color, font, transparency and more. You can store customization settings as individual templates and apply them to one or more tabs at a time allowing for a sort of color classification system for your tabs. Stick also has a plug-in architecture. That means that developers can put anything they can imagine into a tab and have it be accessible via the Stick interface. The basic Stick install comes with two built-in tab types: Explorer and Note tabs. Features ScreenTabs ScreenTabs are customizable windows that are shaped like file folders. They attach to the sides of your screen and can be easily expanded or collapsed. ScreenTabs are the foundation of Stick and are the container in which all the useful utilities can be found. HotKeys Quickly access individual tabs no matter which application you happen to be using. Navigator Tab Tabs can be created that show the contents of folders. These mini-explorer windows provide true explorer context menu access for folders and files as well as full drag/drop support. Note Tab Enter richly formatted or plain text notes into note tabs. Each note tab is associated with a text file of your choice anywhere on disk. It offers basic word processing functions but more readily available than your average word processor. Internet Tab You can browse the web using internet tabs. These tabs offer the rudimentary function you expect from a web browser but with the convenience of being readily available in a screen tab. These are great for sites that you frequent throughout the day like weather, traffic, news, etc. Tab Manager The tab manager is your control panel for Stick. Create, delete, edit tabs on the fly. Tabs are very customizable with the ability to have their font, colors, slide behavior, transparency and more changed quickly and easily. Save groups of settings as templates and apply them to other tabs with the press of a button. Quick Launcher Hit the Windows key and the space bar together and you'll see the application launcher. Just start typing the name of the application you want and the program will start listing matches. The more you use it, the smarter it gets. Plug-Ins Calendar Plugin The calendar plugin allows you to create a tab that displays a simple calendar. RSS News Feed Plugin The RSS News Feed Plugin is a simple RSS client that allows users to connect to one or more RSS feeds in a single tab. The plugin supports auto-refresh, auto-pruning and textual previews of items. It will also notify you via popup when new items are downloaded. Only supports RSS 0.91 and RSS 2.0 Calculator Plugin (Available in 2.6.1.1) The calculator plugin displays a basic calculator that can be used for simple calculations. It has support for basic arithmetic, square roots and memory functions. Thanks to Peter Boulton for the great calculator code (http://www.codeproject.com/miscctrl/mfccalcctrl.asp) Extensibility Stick uses an extensible framework that allows developers to build their own plugins that display custom data in tabs. Requires knowledge of C++ and MFC. The application installer gives you the option of installing a sample plugin that includes the source. You can use this as a framework for developing your own plug-ins. ________________________________________________________________________________________________
