ServConf is a freeware program that will help you manage Windows NT/2000/2003/XP services and drivers and at the same time will let you keep tracking of Windows Events since it has an integrated Event Log viewer. The main features ServConf provides are: - comprehensible lists of either Services, File System Drivers or Kernel Drivers. - additional descriptions of most common services and interactivity issues between them - full dependents/dependencies trees for each service/driver - the ability to edit the properties of each service/driver ( this is still work in progress ) - a list of load ordering groups and services belonging to them - structured Event Log viewer ( the possibility of filtering events is still work in progress ) - the ability to take Snapshots of Start Type and Status of services and restore them at arbitrary times ServConf is meant to be used by experienced users and it's still under developement, therefore basic things regarding the behaviour of Windows services may not covered by its documentation and/or help. Download: The ACE contains the program itself, no need to install ( you must make the associations of the '*.snapshot' files with ServConf manualy if you wish to be able to open them by double click, and you must have Internet Explorer 5.0 or newer installed if you wish to use the help ). The ZIP contains a setup program based on Installer 2.0 Zudem ist noch ein kleiner Browser (ease.exe) integriert, der auch eigenständig funktioniert.ease offline browser 1.0 This program is a lite browser based on Internet Explorer.
