TOOLSAMMLUNG & SAMMELTHREAD :::> Windows 2000 XP Startbildschirm Bootscreen Bootlogo ändern wechseln anpassen etc. BootLogo - Boot-Image setter 1.17c (Autor: Andreas Tofahrn - GERMANY) DD: Nov 2005 - 97 KB - Deutsch/Englisch/Japanisch - Standalone (.zip) - Freeware OS: Windows 2000 XP MCE HP: http://www.tofahrn.de/wger/index2.html PP: http://www.tofahrn.de/wger/t_bootlogo.html DL: http://www.tofahrn.de/tools/bootlogo.zip SS: http://www.tofahrn.de/img/t_bootlogo.gif Bootlogo-Changer zum hinzufügen eigener Bootscreens. Program-Operation First you have to select a Path containing proper BMP-Files. BootLogo uses the own path as a default. You can select and preview any Bitmap in the path and set it as a Boot-Image with the Button "Set this Boot-Image". BootLogo may prompt for modifications for the first time. Alternatively you can select "Random-Mode", which launches BootLogo at every Logon and sets a random Image from the specified Path. If you do not like the Splash-Screen, which displays the Image for the next Boot, you can easily disable it with the Checkbox below. Use the Fullscreen-Button to check out your Image in real 640x480 Pixel-Resolution. During Fullscreen-Mode you can still change your Image-Selection using the Arrow-Keys and move the animated Bar with the Mouse to a Position you like. To leave Fullscreen-Mode, click right or press Escape or Return. Installation of Service-Packs Since BootLogo modifies the Boot-Kernel, a Service-Pack-Installation may complain about corrupted System-Files and will not install. To install a Service-Pack, you have to boot your System with the original Kernel. You can easily select the old Kernel from the Boot-Menu. If you removed that Entry from your Boot-Menu (BOOT.INI), you manually have to modify your BOOT.INI to load the original NTOSKRNL.EXE (just remove the /KERNEL=NTOSBOOT.EXE from the Entry). Do not use Uninstall in the BootLogo-Dialog, when you manually edit your BOOT.INI to only have one Bootmenu-Entry! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ LogonUIBootRandomizer 3.9.0.60 (Autor: UserXP (based on an idea by M. Deepak) - CANADA) DD: Sep 2004 - 790 KB - Englisch - Standalone (.zip) - Freeware OS: Windows XP Server 2003 MCE 2005 HP: http://userxp.belchfire.net/indexlbr.htm DL: http://userxp.belchfire.net/logonuibootrandomizer.zip SS: http://userxp.belchfire.net/images/Options1.JPG SS: http://userxp.belchfire.net/images/Randomize1.JPG HOWTO: http://userxp.belchfire.net/HowBitmapsWork.htm What it is ? It's a Logon and Boot screens manager for WinXP (based on an idea by M. Deepak) ? Program is designed to interact as little as possible with the user. If you set randomizing to main (base) folder (see How it works), every time you download a new boot/screen folder and put it where you want, there is no need to run the program again. It will include the new screen automatically. What it does - Features ? Changes the Logon and Boot screens in WinXP. Full support for SP1 and SP2 (I mean that you can use any version for boot screen and program will make it compatible with your system). ? Randomize (3 methods) the Logon and Boot screens. In order to randomize there is NO need to load the program to tray or something like that. If you set randomizing the program will run the appropriate time, randomize the logon/boot screen and then close. ? Full support for zip files. After downloading a screen (the zip file), just put it in any subfolder under the base folder. Program will handle it as a normal screen/folder. ? EXCLUDE some folders (screens) from randomize them (see A Note for Exclude). ? For boot screens, you can set or randomize them with 2 methods: 1) classic (using the exe file you download) or 2) using 3 bitmaps (existing or by extracting them from the exe file on fly and use them). All methods support all known features. Program always remember the position of progress bar. ? Support for extracting boot and/or logon screens directly from zip files. Program can automatically detect the type of screen and extract it to the right folder with out user input. ? Preview (classic or with THUMBNAILS) the Logon and Boot screens, if the new logon/boot screen comes with a .jpg or .bmp file. If not, there is a feature that you can browse and see all the bitmaps in the file. Also you can SAVE that bitmaps in jpg/gif/tiff/png/bmp format. With one click, you can save bitmap 100 (for logon screens) or bitmap 1 (for boot screens), which usually are the bitmaps with the basic picture. Also, support for MULTIPLE extract and save in jpg/gif/tiff/png/bmp format (very helpful for users that have a lot of screens with out a preview picture). In order to load pictures faster at THUMBNAILS preview, program after detect NEW zip files, will prompt you to search the zip files for pictures. After searching, will extract the picture (if any) and save it to disk under the name "<name of zip file>.zip.jpg". The real format of the picture can be jpg/gif/tiff/png/bmp but after extraction the extension ALWAYS be .jpg ? Support CATEGORIES for the screens (picture) ? Favorites (as many as you want). You can tell the program to randomize in all of yours logon/boot screens OR in any one of the favorites you have create ? Fully resizable - the preview (classic or thumbnails) follows the size of the main screen ? Right click menus - drag and drop for favorites ? Test logon screens with one button (F4) ? Minimize to tray (if user want) ? Load at start up (if user want) === INFO FOR BOOT SCREENS === First time that the program runs, it creates 3 copies of your boot.ini (boot.bak and boot.lgb in the root folder and a boot.ini in the programs' folder (that's for safety) - if boot.bak exists, it renames it to boot_.bak). Also at the first time it is run it creates the bootbak.bat file. ================================================== IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS, BOOT INTO DOS AND RUN BOOTBAK.BAT IN THE ROOT DIR. ================================================== The program does NOT modify in any way your ntoskrnl.exe ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Noch zwei Editoren gibt es auf der Homepage zu finden ... Use it at your OWN risk. Also The dll and ocx files inside the zip file, can be placed to system32 folder (it is better to put them there). For the AxImage.ocx file, if you change the folder where the program is installed then you must register that file again. So, go to Start ? Run, type there ?regsvr32 <programs? path>\AxImage.ocx? and hit the Ok button. If you have the AxImage.ocx file to system32 folder there is no need to register it again. What it is ? It?s an editor for creating boot screens (in zip format) for WinXP (Pro or Home edition ? must work in 2003 server and others) What it does - Features ? Creates a zip file (extension .bootscreen) with the pictures you want and an ini file with all the infos about the boot screen (very small size ? about 50 KB each screen). This zip file can be handled by BootEditor directly and LogonUIBootRandomizer ? Can change the default palette of boot screens ?
