Visual Task Tips

Sobald man den Mauszeiger über das entsprechende Symbol in der Taskleiste platziert,
blendet Visual Task Tips ein Thumbnail mit einer Miniaturansicht des zugehörigen Programmfensters ein.
So erkennt man auf einen Blick, um welche Anwendung es sich handelt.

Visual Task Tips is a lightweight shell enhancement utility. It provides thumbnail preview image for each task in the Windows Taskbar, as seen in the upcoming Microsoft Windows Vista.

Limitations
Black or incomplete previews and screen corruption
Some applications draw themselves in unusual ways to improve performance. These included Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visual Studio, Windows Media Player, Autodesk 3DS Max, Java applications among others. It's not a bug in Visual Task Tips.
Unfortunately there is no way to correct these problems,
but they are not harmful for your computer.

Minimized Windows
Currently Visual Task Tips does not show actual previews for minimized windows. In fact, it show a cached thumbnail preview copy if one is available, otherwise it show nothing.
Please contact me if you know how to take a shot of minimized windows.

NOTE: Windows XP is required to run Visual Task Tips.
Visual Task Tips is absolutely free for non-commercial use.
