HP: http://chesterway.co.uk
PP: http://www.freewarefiles.com/program_3_42_24421.html
DL: http://chesterway.co.uk/girafics
SS: http://www.freewarefiles.com/screenshot.php?programid=24421
| Zitat: | Girafics3 is a general purpose graphic file viewer that can open a vast variety of graphic types!
It also has a few other tricks to amuse you including creating and setting interesting wallpaper and
creating shaped regions. Graphics can be easily and quickly resized or sections cut and pasted.
Some functions will only work with Windows XP.
Girafics3 can stand alone or be integrated into the context menu (right click menu in explorer)
ready to view listed graphics.
To view a graphic you can:
- Load it as a file.
- Select 'View with Girafics3' in the context menu.
- Drop a file onto the open program.
- Paste it from clipboard - you can also set Girafics3 to watch the cliboard for a graphic. It will show if hidden.
- You can reload it - not if from clipboard or is a cut selection.
- You can cut a section out of a graphic.
The menu is accessed with a right mouse click.
Once loaded, adjusting the frame with the mouse (or CTL+direction keys) will adjust the graphic size.
This makes Girafics3 an ideal tool for web design where it can be placed in position over the page
and adjusted accordingly before resizing and saving to a file. The actual graphic is not changed unless
you select TOOLS/Resize to Window. The original file is not changed. There are various resampling
filters available under OPTIONS/Resampling filters. The graphic view is normally proportional however
you can undo this under OPTIONS/Proportional display. The graphic is also normally stretched to
fit the frame. This can be undone under OPTIONS/Stretch. Snap to fit when checked will fit the frame
to the image after resizing when proportional is set.
You can save the current graphic at its current size or its full size, delete it or send it as an email.
There are some tools to manipulate the graphic
Unless you deselect OPTIONS/Show graphic options, when you save to a file, an options window will
open to allow some control of the saved graphic.
If you want to do more than manipulate size and shape, Open with.. will open the original graphic file
in either the associated graphics program or a selected editor.
Direction keys right and left will scroll through the folder of the opened graphic (if not pasted from clipboard)
showing other graphics.
Use OPTIONS/Register or Unregister to put into/remove Girafics3 in the context menu.
Installation
To install, extract all files to a folder of your choice. Open Girafics3.exe and select OPTIONS/Register
if you want it to appear in the context menu. |

| Zitat: | Osiva -- The *Overly Simple* Image Viewing Application
Osiva was written to replace the default Windows image viewer. The result is a slightly cryptic user interface hack. I wanted to hide evidence that the program is running within Windows, and to create a viewer that would be a little bit fun. Osiva looks simple, but as you use it you can find more and more to do with it.
You can get a good feeling for osiva by looking at the ajax application image sheet.
http://www.noping.net/kent/image_sheet/image_sheet.html
Osiva is a free image viewing program for Windows:
open and scale images fast -- get images into view and out of the way
grab the image to zoom, pan, and rotate -- there are no window borders
osiva sets the window shape for transparent images (even on '98)
it's good for comparing and proofing images
sort images using drag-and-drop
create slideshows, animations, and dissolve effects
there is no installation overhead -- it's just osiva.exe |

http://www.netzwelt.de/news/75375_99-freeware-der-woche-bildbetrachter-mit.html
| Zitat: | Here's a image viewer I made for myself, after being disappointed of what most of the more popular image viewers
have to offer. I would just want to double-click on an image and instantly view it full-screen,
not to see a "Please wait..." message.
Viewer2 does offer a simple browser, but does not enforce the user to use it. It is there simply to complement
the operating system's way to store files and also to offer what I like to think as a spatial file organization system.
You can group images just the way you would do it with real things lying on the desk without any
need to think to which directory you should move the image. Next time you browse the directory,
you'll see the images located exactly where you left them.
Usage
Definition of a group
Viewer2 thinks every closely lying image is a member of the group they form.
So, if you drag an image with the right mouse button, the program will select all nearby images
until there is a notable gap between some other group of images. It will also treat other images
as groups, so if you use your selected group to push other images, it will move every image in the
colliding group instead of just the images that collide.
Controls
I have included a few ways to do the same action because then it is easier to bind the keypresses to the mouse.
E.g. I like to make my mouse emit Ctrl + Left when I tilt the wheel to the left and Ctrl + Right when I tilt it to the right.
That way I can browse images nicely with just the mouse.
Mouse wheel / Keypad plus / Keypad minus: Zoom
Backspace / Page Up / Ctrl + Left: Previous image
Space / Page Down / Ctrl + Right: Next image
Cursor keys: Move around
Return: Switch between the browser and the image viewer
Escape / Alt + F4 / Ctrl + Q / Left click the top left corner of the screen: Quit
Browser mode
Middle click: Move around
Left click: Select an image / start lasso selection
Ctrl + Left click: Add an image to the selected images
Left drag: Move images
Shift + left drag: Force lasso selection
Ctrl + Shift + left drag: Add lasso selection to the selected images
Right drag: Select and drag a group of images (see below)
Double click: View image or all currently selected images
Ctrl + A: Select all
Ctrl + B: Previous view
Ctrl + D: Select none
Ctrl + F: Find files (Experimental: Google-style query, there is no visible text field: just press Ctrl+F and type in text and press return)
Ctrl + G: Select group
Ctrl + I: Invert selection
Ctrl + O: Order selected images
Ctrl + T: Tag selected files (Experimental: separate tags with commas)
Viewer mode
Double click: Switch to browser mode
Left drag: Move around
Right drag: Activate film strip browser
Home: Zoom image to fit to screen
End: Zoom image to original size

FORUM: http://mmk.f4.fhtw-berlin.de/?page_id=72
