Mich erreichten einige Emails, die von einer Inkonsistenz ihrer Seriennummer berichteten.
So stimmte die mitgelieferte Seriennummer in einigen Fällen nicht mit der des LicenseCrawlers überein.
Die Lösung ist ganz simpel. Damit der PC Hersteller nicht für jeden PC eine Seriennummer eintragen muss,
bekommt er von Microsoft eine OEM Nummer. Diese ist an die Hardware gekoppelt und ist bei allen PCs
des selben Typs gleich. Nur wenn der Kunde Vista von der CD installieren will, wird mitgelieferte Seriennummer
angefordert. Dann muss der PC aber auch Aktiviert werden. Der Vorteil der OEM nummern ist das viele die
gleiche Nummer haben. Somit seid ihr ein bisschen anonymer . Der weitaus wichtigere Vorteil ist aber,
dass der PC nicht aktiviert werden muss. !!

Die Registry befindet sich auf der entsprechenden Festplatte des unwilligen Systems unter
C:WindowsSystem32Config
Hat hier, oder in diesem Teil der Festplatte der Fehlerteufel zugeschlagen, dann gibt es ein Exemplar
welches direkt bei der Installation von XP (oder W2K) angelegt wird, auch noch hier
C:WindowsRepair
Die gesuchte Datei ist jeweils "Software" ohne jegliche Dateierweiterung.
Hängt man die Festplatte als weitere in ein vorhandenes System, so ist der Laufwerksbuchstabe natürlich
nicht mehr C:, sondern eben ein anderer und von der Konfiguration des Host-Windows abhängig.

sind hinterher weg!). Doppelklickt die Datei install.bat, und folgt der Anleitung im Dosfenster.
Wenn ihr Unix benutzt verwendet folgenden Befehl:
dd if=bd??????.bin of=/dev/fd0 bs=18k
Jetzt müsst ihr euren Computer restarten. Lass die Diskette einfach im Laufwerk.
Wenn euer Computer nicht von der Diskette bootet, dann geht in euer Bios und stellt
euer Disketten Laufwerk als erste Bootoption ein.
Nun müsst ihr folgende Schritte durchlaufen:
Sagt dem Programm auf welcher Festplatte Windows installiert ist (meistens c

Sagt ihm was ihr ändern wollt.
