PC-Com gives you an easier and faster alternative to use your computer. You can use it on your home computer, laptop, or business computer. Instead of double-clicking icons on your desktop, and searching for programs in your Start Menu, you can quickly load anything on your computer or the internet from PC-Com. When you want to open something, all you have to do is press a hotkey (semicolon) on your keyboard, type a keyword, and press enter. You can also use letter commands to search the internet (example: s:mp3s), look up a word in a dictionary or a thesaurus, find related web sites, and shut down or restart your computer.
PC-Com is only visible when you press a hotkey and type a keyword. The toolbar disappears after you press Enter. This provides even more convenience and work space for you.

o You can hide any window, set a window on top, make a window translucent...
- Record macros to automate your repetitive computer tasks.
- Create notes on your desktop; set reminders
- Extremely fast and low in memory usage.

The only thing different is the name, website, and user-friendliness of the program.
Keybreeze is still in it's first version, but it has several features that have been added since PC-Com. First, the program is a lot more user-friendly. It contains a few extra prompts that pop up while you are using the program so you can learn about all of the features. Don't worry, these prompts aren't that annoying, and you can disable them if you don't like seeing them. The program also runs smoother and has several bug fixes. You can see a list of changes below.
- Pressing Shift when the popup list is displayed will do two things:
it will search the entire Command List for any instance of your entry.
it will pop up a feature summary window (basically everything you can type into Keybreeze)
- new Add Entry wizard - appears when you type "add" as a keyword or when you press the Add button
in the Command List.
- notes can now be resized by dragging the edges
- new snooze feature for a note
- new preset keyword: feature summary
- new preset keyword: show hidden notes
- new preset keyword: view reminders
- targets for keywords are no longer converted to lower case
(some URLs are case sensitive with upper case letters)
- faster, smoother, and more stability. |
