Der PLoP Bootmanager ist ein sehr kleiner Bootmanager für alle Betriebssysteme.
Betriebssysteme können von der Festplatte, Diskette oder CDRom gestartet werden.
Die Grösse des Bootmanagers beträgt ca. 18kbytes.
Man kann Betriebssysteme wahlweise von der Festplatte, von Diskette oder von CD starten.
Es wird keine extra Partition für den Bootmanager benötigt.
Linux: Der Bootmanager ersetzt NICHT lilo oder grub. Man benötigt weiterhin einen der beiden

Mit dem auf Linux basierenden Avira AntiVir Rescue System lässt sich Windows "von ausserhalb" per Live-CD scannen.
Das Rescue-System benötigt 2 CDs - eine fürs Programm, und eine für die Virendefinitionen.
Da die VDF-Dateien mehrmals täglich(!) aktualisiert werden, ist CD-RW für die VDF CD naheliegend.
Der VDF-Download ist unter "Avira AntiVir Rescue System Update" (rescue_update.zip) zu finden.
Vorgangsweise:
Auf CD 1 wird das Rescuesystem gebrannt, auf CD 2 das VDF-Update.
Gebootet wird mit CD 1, die das Hauptprogramm in den Arbeitsspeicher lädt.
Um das System nun zu scannen, im Menü "Update" auswählen - und dann "Update von CD".
Nach der Auforderung die CD zu wechseln und dem durchgeführten Update,
kann der Rechner mit den VDF-Dateien gescannt werden.
Um gefundene Schädlinge zu löschen/umzubenennen, gibt man, wenn die Parameter angezeigt werden,
entweder -ren für Umbenennen, oder -del für Löschen ein.

Das Avira AntiVir Rescue System ist eine linux-basierte Applikation, die es erlaubt auf Rechner zuzugreifen,
die nicht mehr gebootet werden können. Auf diese Weise ist es möglich, ein beschädigtes System zu reparieren,
Daten zu retten oder eine Überprüfung des Systems auf Virenbefall durchzuführen.
Das Rescue System kann nach dem Herunterladen per Doppelklick auf eine CD/DVD gebrannt werden.

Einleitung
PLoP Linux ist eine kleine Linux Distribution die von CD, DVD, eine USB Gerät (USB Stick/USB Festplatte)
oder vom Netzwerk booten kann. PLoP Linux ist geeignet zum Retten von Daten, sichern und wiederherstellen
von Betriebssytemen und vieles mehr.

UBCD4Win is a bootable recovery CD that contains software used for repairing, restoring,

What you need to Build:
1. CD Burner and blank CD's
Almost every system out there has a CD Burner now, most new computers have been shipping
with DVD Burners for at least the past year.
2. Windows® XP CD, with at least Service Pack 1 (SP2 is highly recommended)
If your CD does not have SP1 or SP2 included on it you can easily "slipstream" a Service Pack
using a program called AutoStreamer. Instructions for slipstreaming are on the "slipstreaming" page
of this site. Do not use a source that was "modified" by programs that claim to stream hotfixes or
drivers into your XP CD. Only use a true XP CD or one that is slipstreamed properly with
only an official Service Pack from Microsoft.
TIP- Unsure about what Service Pack your CD has? Look at the root of your XP CD for files ending with
a .SP1 or .SP2 extention. Whichever extension you find tells you what Service Pack is installed on your CD.
3. Download UBCD4Win
Click the "Downloads" link to the upper left of this page and download the project. The project is now only
ONE download. Included in the download are our project files, our "drivers" package, and our OEM PE Builder.
