Es stehen 3 Methoden bzw. Intensitätstufen zur Auswahl. Gefundene Laufwerke können nach Zuweisung eines
Buchstabens im Read-Only Modus (Kopieren möglich) in den Explorer eingebunden werden - und optional -

Tolerant-Copier ist ein kleines Kopierprogramm für schlechte Tage. Das Tool kann eigentlich nicht
mehr als Dateien kopieren - das besondere daran ist jedoch, dass eventuelle Lesefehler nicht zum
Abbruch des Kopiervorgangs führen, sondern von den Dateien soviel Inhalt wie möglich kopiert wird.
Mögliche Einsatzgebiete sind zerkratzte CDs mit Filmen, oder leicht defekte Festplatten,
die nicht mehr alle Dateien vollständig lesen können.
Tolerant-Copier kann jedoch keine Daten reparieren! Wo nichts mehr ist, kann auch nichts
wiederhergestellt werden. Deshalb füllt Tolerant-Copier unlesbare Stellen in den Dateien
mit binären Nullen. Somit kann vielleicht zumindest ein Teil der Daten wieder genutzt werden.
Dies muss jedoch im Einzelfall ausprobiert werden. Eine Garantie gibt es hierbei für gar nichts. |

- GNU Parted creates, resizes, moves, copies partitions, and filesystems (and more).
- GParted GUI implementation using the GNU Parted library.
- Partimage saves / restores partitions to an image file on another partition or to another system.
- File systems tools (e2fsprogs, reiserfsprogs, reiser4progs, xfsprogs, jfsutils, ntfsprogs, dosfstools):
format, resize, and debug an existing partition of a hard disk
- Ntfs3g: enables read/write access to MS Windows NTFS partitions.
- sfdisk saves / restores partition table (and more).
- Test-disk tool to check and undelete partition, supports reiserfs, ntfs, fat32, ext2/3 and many others
- Network tools (Samba, NFS, ping, nslookup, ...)
